the orientation week has started. i stepped into T328 at around 1240 and realised i'll be working with skinny-jeans-plain-tees malays for the next 3 years of tertiary-level education. i felt, unknowingly, discouraged. to lay down all the reasons why in the form of an online entry will certainly ensure me long hours of community work as unwanted disruption. but i must surely point out - i have got many reasons.
sp has a huge campus. sp has the rectangular layout, unlike ngee ann. i see myself walking the entire stretch of commonwealth road, past 3 or more bus stops, and along the whole stretch of road at least 60 thousand times throughout my entire, hopefully, 3 years (anything less than that will mean you have been expelled, and anything more than that will mean you have to retake modules, like how the principal put it yesterday).
yesterday was a good glimpse of an uneventful polytechnic school day. i bought the required stationery from the external vendor, art friend, in school. i have no idea why i'll need cutting mat A3 size, or A3 arch file, or parallel rollers, or scale rulers in ranges 1-500. as if the anxiety is insufficient to kill me, DARCH introduces SP CITY RACE! and ICE BREAKER@WEST COAST and SP FLAG DAY instead of starting the term like any other schools on the 14th.
the only thing that's up for me of the poly life is meeting lhc and yulin during lunch breaks.
