sports carnival was good fun, and time well spent, with classes all dressed in same specially made tee shirts, and soccer players dressed in same soccer jerseys. banners, cheers, games, everything in name of the class' glory - all put together to make this sports carnival a cheerful one. my team made it to 2nd runners' up, and the rest of the class' achievements is better left unsaid. but anyhow, my class put on the not-so-pretty class tee shirt that i designed without any qualms, and when asked if they wanted a refund because the design is as plain as mdm neo's dressing, they rejected without any single thought. and one thing that i've learnt through the collection of money for the class tee shirts is that not everybody is as fortunate as us. some delayed payment because they needed to save up, while some probably broke their piggy banks and paid us with all his shillings. a $14 sum may seem mere to you, but not all of us think it that way. fortunate, unfortunate.? in the midst of the entire sports carnival with loud cheers going on at my right, and team players screaming tatics at my left, i thought of how nice and comfortable (even under the hot sun) it is to be able to step into the sports' complex of singapore polytechnic. fortunate, unfortunate.? this guy didn't make it there, that's for sure.

farewell, schoolmate.
