in about 8 minutes (from the time i started this one), the world will erupt in colourful fireworks and a whole boom of joyous cheers, for we celebrate the birth of this one-in-a-million mankind into planet earth.!

okay, maybe not the fireworks, but definitely the cheers and joy. on top of the barbeque session tomorrow evening i have assisted him, i think it is only right for me to write a long and factual testimony about this wonderful guy named su. recalling back, my faintest of thoughts leads me back to the holy ground in our school called The Parade Square. armed with silvery metallic side borders, a sky-blue painted wall, and 2 small and yellow goalposts, this place we faithfully patronise everyday has become the place for strong and stable friendship bonding. and everytime we finish our businesses, we leave with a smile on our face, and some drenched boxers in our already dirtied white pants and wet armpits. who do we turn to for help.? the taxi uncle. and that is probably how i met su, who lives only a stone's throw away from my house. with that, we always make it a point to take the same cab home, because the cost could be splitted.

moving on, the frequent cab rides back with our drenched backs really pulled us together a lot. then one fine day, i was hungry, and it was growling madly at me to fill it. i knew of the famous 24 hours prata shop off cheong chin nam road, and the delicious alacarte served in the toh yi food centre. suddenly, i thought of su. and that was it. like, that was the end of me.

late night suppers (we can talk for 2 hours non stop about everything under the stars, go back home at 3 in the morning, have 3 hours' of sleep, then report to school), late night pool dates, late night lan gaming, and the noisy-chattering walks back to our apartments. our life soon evolved around this customary cycle of activities.

then, i was introduced to more wonderful people in his clique. bonded fast, and we were soon out on at least a fortnights' basis. i was invited to birthday gatherings at chalets, or even stay-over sessions over at somebody's.

like i used to say, friendship could be an affinity, due to fate, introduction, or like this one, specially god-sent. that's all i have to say about this super friend i have in life, sukardi wongso. now, don't you blame me for being so out of shape - it's his fault for asking me out to so many late night suppers.!
