fishing with 2 incredibly childish idiots at bedok jetty on a tuesday morning.

fishing might made me forget things, but letting a fish go reminds me of letting you go.
HHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA WHAT KIND OF STUPID EMO LINE IS THAT.?!!! NEW AGE STUFF BY OUR MR BENTAN (PRONOUNCED STUPID IN CHINESE).!!

memories of the same familiar particular spot under the bus-stop-like shelter appeared in me - tying the same old riggings, attaching the reel onto the rod butt, pulling the fishing line through the rod guides, buying tamban hooks from the same old uncle, whose already-rotten face will rot further with those fags, and standing under the hot sun, reeling in at least 4 tambans per cast, greeting some of the old regulars there as they pass by on their bicycles with rods sticking out and threatening to hit bystanders, fixing tangled tamban hook lines, attempting to save the reel's lines when the weight sinks in too deep into the seabed, and so much, so many, other things i used to enjoy doing.

today, 3 of us met at clementi, cabbed all the way to east coast park, tire our hands with the jigging action we missed for at least 7 hours, ate, and made our way back in a cab. we spent at least 40 minutes in preparation before taking our first cast. and 40 minutes is too long a period of time for one to set up his rod - i think i could have done everything in 15 minutes, if not for the long period of time not fishing. but today was just as good as my last. briefly said, a suntan, deck of poker cards, some feathers tied masterfully on thin fishing lines, and 2 of your best friends by your side makes fishing all the more interesting, albeit our empty buckets with zero catches. good day.
