today, mr james tan made me realised my O levels are serioulsy just around the corner. he prepared a set of calculations for the entire class, which made as much sense as a snake eating a chicken (i don't know wtf am i talking about also). it went something like this:
counting from now, we have
6 months left (may, june, july, august, september, october), and
6 months is equivalent to 6 X 4 = 24 weeks. most of the express students take 7 subjects on average. since
english, and chinese is not a study-subject, that will
leave us with 5 subjects. and that, will give us an average of
4.8 weeks to study per subject. yes, if you're counting from this day on, we only have 4.8 weeks to study. that means studying consistently for
every single day. the subjects that i take are english language, chinese, dnt, math, pure geography, combined humans (ss and literature) and combined sciences (chemistry and physics). james tan, being our physics teacher, explained to us that this means we have
4.8 weeks for our 2 major sciences, which will leave us with
2.4 weeks per science subject. again, i humbly remind you that this applies to those who consistently study everyday.
2.4 weeks for physics? light reflection/refraction, electric current, sound waves, measurements, etc. SO MANY TOPICS IN JUST 2 WEEKS? that's way ridiculous!
2.4 weeks for chemistry? molecular formula, mole concept, organic chemistry, acid, base, salt, atomic structure, cation and anion, etc. ALL OF THAT IN JUST 2 WEEKS?
2.4 weeks is approximately 17 days, corrected to the nearest whole number. 17 days per science subject?
i'm left with 336 hours for studying! taking away 12 hours from each day, that will leave me with 336 - [12 X 14 ] =
168 BLOODY HOURS ONLY!why am i still typing here?!
