i finally understand how homework can really burn your weekends. on saturday, i was supposed to leave for town to meet my friends in the afternoon, but because i had math assignments to complete, i only left my house in the evening. these math assignments were to be done, because they were actually due on tuesday. with that, i only spent a few hours outside with my friends, most of it during supper at clementi. and then, sunday came and went very quickly. i stayed at home, instead of going to church, playing football with zachary and the band at the cage his dad booked, or even meeting my friends for dinner. i had to stay at home because my dnt coursework needs to be done by monday. and so, this was how i spent my weekend.
come to think of it, this is the first, and definitely not the last time my weekends are to be spent revising, or just merely completing homework. after seeing the results of some of my friends, i begin to worry for myself, because i know my revisions for the O levels will not be as detailed as theirs. right now, i feel the pressure of the Os coming down on me very quickly, as i juggle with my cca commitments such as having tournaments, band competitions, or even just wanting to have fun with my friends outside. the thought of having to sacrifice the time i should be with my friends outside really lower my morale in whatever i do.
children should play. teenagers should play even harder.the start of the week is often a student's detest, usually termed as the monday blues. as for the secondary 4 students coping with their O levels, on top of mondays, we have to accept the fact that the nearing weekends won't be of any difference compared to any other weekday. may god bless me and protect over me, as i attempt to survive in this mad O level rush.
