the singapore fans were dressed in red and were awesome.
police officers were guarded right in front of the indoneisian fans, fearing that they'd become too rowdy. and yes, they stood there, rooted to the grounds, immobile, for almost the entire match. and if you notice much more carefully, one of the officers had to stand in the sand pit, which i figured should be a quite muddy because of the slight rain earlier on. HAHA, ask your wife and kids to polish your boots when you get home, and get ready for the next soccer match.
so engrossed in the match.
the singapore team, just after coming out of the dressing room during the break. team spirit, baby.
but there are even better and more hardcore fans. take a look at this malay guy-
then, it was time for some pictures -
the rest of the people like ahmad lutfi and friends left. but we met again in the mrt on our way back. we (rinaldo, danial, sukardi, faris, shahridan and myself) decided to have some food since we haven't had our dinner. we ate at the prata shop at clementi, before taking a cab home.
the pictures aren't entertaining at all. you should hit for the videos now, by scrolling down. amazingly, i took video shots of 5 of the many chances both sides had, and 4 of them turned out to be goals, which the match, by the way, ended in a 2-2 draw. i was lucky enough to have them snapped in my camera. you should take a look at every single one of the videos. it doesn't take too much of your time, but it takes hell lot of my time, uploading these videos. on top of the videos of the 4 goals, i have videos of another hardcore fan swearing and doing negative actions at the referee, the infamous kallang wave, and last but not least, how the singaporeans boo everytime the indoneisians have the ball, and cheer immediately the singaporeans regain their possession. the videos -
first singapore goal.
first indo goal.
a very furious fan. listen to the singaporeans chant, "referee kayu," together in chorus.
listen to how the singapore fans react when their fellow citizen got tackled badly.
how the singaporeans unite together so well, and do the kallang wave.
all of us agreed on meeting up for the next singapore match played in the kallang stadium. i guess it's not completely to show our support, but also, to see how people, namely singaporeans, can react so violently as if they'd already place life-value bets on their nation. singapore had been very good so far, beating 11-0 (yes, eleven nil), laos in the previous match. so if your father or brother thinks of placing some bets on the lions, do not forbid them of doing so. yes, so long and goodnight.
Maybe light a candle Don't say a prayer for me Feel alone Cause I'm gone I left you Make Christmas your own You throw the thought of us away You'll be alone this holiday It's cold in this town And there's snow on the ground Far from home Not alone I left you with nothing And that's what you own You throw the thought of us away You'll be alone this holiday You throw the thought of us away You'll be alone this holiday
