just to update a bit, went to class e3/2's bbq. dex insisted that it's okay for me to go, since carvey and friends are already over there. it was at a condo off pandan valley road. upon reaching, i was shocked to see mrs low kok meng. it's been ages since i've seen her, and as expected, her hair is still flourishing with vibrancy. nothing much to take at the condo, but here's a few of the people in my comapny. the best i've ever met. i take back my words. you're another click away from making your day complete. before you enlarge it, check if your parents are around. you don't want them to think you're mixing with drug addicts.
on a much more lighter note, i went fishing yesterday with zhiyong and shahridan. it's my first time fishing with zhiyong, and with him around, your day is full circle. i met zhiyong first in clementi at around 930am. andrew yeo then came to pass us the live bait container he's been oweing us since the day we paid him for it. he couldn't follow us. we met shahridan later at a bus stop right outside nus high school. reached harbourfront, got ourselves some refreshments for the day, and had light breakfast, while waiting for terence to arrive to pass us the air pump for the live catches. after eating, terence reached, and he couldn't make it too. we took a cab down to labrador park and had to walk a long distance before reaching the end of the jetty, which supposedly, is the best place for biggies. i had to set up the equipments for them, because they're still virgin to the tying of fishing knots. however, other than 4 selars, we caught nothing else, and decided to leave for bedok jetty. we called a cab in, because we'd be sweating bullets by the time we reach the main road outside labrador park. the cab uncle drove in to the nearest carpark. we didn't bother to untie the the main reel line and leader attached to the swivel, because that means we'll have to tie it again when we reach the jetty. but the longer rods had to be kept because the vehicle we'll be travelling in happens to be a cab, and not an aeroplane. when we reach bedok jetty (fare was a staggering $15), it started to rain. we took shelter under the bus-stop-look-a-like structure, and waited for the rain to stop. they played with the small tambans, and i waited for something to bite on the longer rods. the uncle, the veteran, who visits bedok jetty practically almost everyday because he sells homemade tamban hooks, taught me a few tricks. he tied a rig specially made for stingrays because of its underlying branches coming out of the main leader in front of me and slowly. so old, and yet his eyesight is still as sharp. i hooked a live tamban at its tail, casted it out, and when reeling back after 10 minutes or so, the rod registered a bite. i quickly reeled it back in, but the head of the tamban was gone. i think the uncle pitied us or something. he passed us his only catch of the day, a todak/garfish. shahridan and zhiyong seperate the catches of the day, and i borrowed both of them each, my ice boxes, which means they'll have to bring them the next time we go fishing. i wasn't included because the fishes were too small for my liking. we took bus 14 for 1.5 hours, and seperated at clementi. small and little catches, but an extremely good company, sharing the same interests. this is life.
