the end is nearing. in approximately 100 minutes, 50 eng kong drive will explode in fury. my mom will be showcasing her thunderous voice which she had faithfully used every term of my secondary school life. stuffing fat cows in my ears won't do the job. i'll still have to suffer the torment of listening to her 3 hour long "speech".
it's a catastrophe.!examinations come and go very quickly and it subjects to me just like another homework assignment - it's okay not to score well. but today's long conversation with ms caroline chan impacted me mentally. i'm punched back into reality, and the realisation of how short a period of time i have to revise before the 'O' levels commence makes my legs wobble like fragile jelly. in about 1 1/2 months' time, we'll be expected to report to the school hall, sit according to registry in long rows, alone, and begin to jot down what we have learnt since secondary 3. it is frightening, and we'll never know what it's like. thus, i suggest we start mugging and revising now, and have the luxury of savouring every moment of the paper to be done with much joy. yes, i'll want to do that. today, i talked to ms caroline chan about my goals and life after finishing secondary school. i told her i wanted to do product industrial design in a polytechnic, and so, she suggested temasek poly. she went through the trouble of phoning the enquiry hotline to ask about this year's minimum cut-off point. one needs to score a maximum of 18 points, a maximum grade of 7 for english and maths, and 3 other subjects, whereby one of them has to be either dnt, art, chemistry or any other type of sciences. another alternative will be the walk-in interview with examples of your design portfolio. it must be good enough to meet standards of the design faculty in temasek poly. if given a choose, i'd obviously choose the former alternative, and i understand i have to work doubly hard from now on.
the clock reads 5:02pm. soon, a series of devastating tragedy will roll right in front of me - my dad, mom, and both brothers. ohmygawd. i think i just grounded myself during the holidays. ):
